Dear Staff, Parents, and Students:
It is with great enthusiasm and excitement that I write this introduction as the new Assistant Principal of Hector P. Garcia Elementary. I am truly honored to accept this new role and look forward to beginning my work with the exemplary staff in our efforts to do whatever it takes to advance the achievement of all students on our campus. Working together, I am confident that we will continue to provide our students with a genuinely challenging and enriching school experience.
I have been in education for 16 years at every level serving in Waco, Midland, Odessa, Aquilla, Crowley, and now Temple. I have spent much of my professional career working with elementary school students. I spent ten years as a classroom teacher, one year as a counselor, before moving into a testing coordinator position for six years.
My decision to become an administrator came from a strong desire to make a positive impact on an entire school community. As the Assistant Principal, I will work diligently with the faculty and staff to carry out the vision and mission of Hector P. Garcia Elementary School. I believe that as a school, we play a fundamental role in positioning students for future success. I am committed to working closely with teachers, parents, and community members to ensure our “Gifted Gators” achieve their full potential and are prepared for the next phase of their education journey.
